Buckeyes Dig Pink

Spearheaded by Junior Outside Hitter Bia Franklin, the October 16th home contest against Michigan State was a special match for the Brazilian native. Bia partnered with her summer internship site, The James Cancer Hospital, to honor Cancer Survivors while earning a career high in kills (14) and points (18.5). In the week leading up to the event the team spent time at The James to create relationships with patients and their families which led to a great turnout as the Buckeyes swept the Spartans on ESPN2!

A Day on the Farm

Head Coach Geoff Carlston is a big advocate for exploring and enjoying the journey while on the road. Earlier this month the Buckeyes used their off day between Indiana and Purdue to celebrate the season at a local apple orchard and pumpkin patch. This was an exciting first for Freshman Outside Hitter Vanja Bukilic as she gathered as many pumpkins as she could for friends in the dorms with hopes to bring one home to Serbia if they last ;)

Buckeyes Locked In

Ohio State Student-Athletes and Staff participated in a team-building activity at the Lock Chicago Escape Room before competing at Northwestern. The staff made it out with one minute to spare in the one hour time limit while the girls conquered the tasks in their room in fifty-five minutes. It will be a while before the staff hears the end of this one!
