Quote:

" playwriting was not a highly regarded occupation, and so people saw little point in recording the lives of mere dramatists. However, a number of records exist that deal with Shakespeare’s life." (Jesse)

Paraphrase:

People didn't show much care for play write or any kind of theater but when shakespeare came around people started showing more care towards him.

My Ideas:

This quote explains that many people never occupied their time with play write. When shakespeare was existent he dealt with numbers of records.

Quote:

"William was born the third of eight children around April 23, 1564, in Stratford, a market town about one hundred miles northwest of London." (Anderson, 776).

Paraphrase:

William was born the third of eight children on the 23 of April 1564 or at least thats what they assumed. he lived in Stratford, which is a market town. in which later on his father will be contributing to the city.

My Ideas:

In this quote it shows his birth place and birth time. showing part of his beginning life. Although they do not have the right time or date they have the right year and place. Also shows where he was born in his early time which is a big aspect of his life, because his father and him both in the future pursue many things in this city.

Quote:

"His father, John, was a shopkeeper and a man of some importance in Stratford, serving at various times as justice of the peace and high bailiff (mayor)." (Anderson, 776).

Paraphrase:

John was an overachiever and showed responsibility, but also showing his son shakespeare the right way of life.

My Ideas:

This quote is showing his father was very hard working in Williams earlier life and put much time into things in which rubbed off on William. William pursueds with literature after his fathers example of hard work.

Quote:

"William attended grammar school, where he studied Latin grammar, Latin literature, and rhetoric (the uses of language). As far as we know, he had no further formal education." (Anderson, 776-777).

Paraphrase:

William followed his dads way of thinking and managing a good lifestyle by going to learn grammar and potentially become something in the state of theater.

My Ideas:

In this quote it is showing that William in his early life took much time to work on what he loved and would end up pursuing in the future. Also this quote shows that William took on much work like his father did in this time. William didn't waste his time at all with all the literature work he tried to continue for his further future.

Quote:

"At the age of eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway, who was eight years older than he was." (Anderson, 777)

Paraphrase:

Shakespeare married young but even younger was his wife Anne Hathaway.

Quote:

"Sometime after the birth of their second and third children (twins), Shake-Speare moved to London, apparently leaving his family in Stratford." (Anderson, 777)

Paraphrase:

after the birth of his twins that he had with Anne he left to go to London but left his kids and wife at Stratford, assuming to find a theater job in London i suppose.

My Ideas:

After birth of his 2nd and 3rd twin children, Shakespeare moved to London abandoning his family.

Quote:

"1592, Shakespeare had already become an actor and a playwright." (Anderson, 777)

Paraphrase:

Shakespeare followed his dreams to finally becoming an actor plus play maker, to provide for his family and kids.

My Ideas:

Shakespeare brought more to his life by becoming an actor and a play maker, continuing his hard working process.

Quote:

"Shakespeare worked with this company for the rest of his writing life. year after year he provided it with plays, almost on demand.Shakespeare was the ultimate professional writer. He had a theater that needed plays, actors who needed parts, and a family that needed to be fed ." (Anderson, 777)

Paraphrase:

Shakespeare never left his family for good he left his family to provide a better lifestyle for his kids future. By completing a theater life style he has many things in favor for himself. even though his life ended sooner than most of us now a day live but back than 52 was like 92 to us, 52 was very old for the past since they do not have the technology we have now nor the medicines.

My Ideas:

Shakespeare worked with a company dealing with plays and theater. Also giving his family a wealthy lifestyle was a main importance.

Quote:

"Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, at the age of fifty-two. He is buried under the old stone floor in the chancel of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford. Carved over his grave is the following verse -- Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear To dig the dust enclosed here! Blessed be the man that spares these stones And cursed be he that moves my bones." (Anderson, 777)

Paraphrase:

Even though his life ended sooner than most of us now a day live but back than 52 was like 92 to us, 52 was very old for the past since they do not have the technology we have now nor the medicines.

My Ideas:

Shakespeare lived a long life compared to how long they actually lived back in the day, but not only did he die he died with a meaning, explained on his stone.

Quote:

"Royal Shakespeare Company is an English theater organization dedicated to presenting the plays of William Shakespeare and other playwrights of his time, modern classical dramas, and new works. The company, also known as the RSC, performs at its own theater at Stratford-upon-Avon, England, Shakespeare's birthplace. The company also stages plays in London. It ranks among the leading theater ensembles in the world."

Paraphrase:

Shakespeare has always wanted to become big in his society and he finally achieved that. Shakespeare is very hard working and owns just one of the biggest company's in theater.

My Ideas:

This quote shows that Shakespeare was very successful with his company as a theater organization. His company was huge in the theater industry.

Mounfield, Peter R. "Stratford-upon-Avon." World Book Advanced. World Book, 2016. Web. 10 Dec. 2016.

Quote:

"In 1879, a Shakespeare Memorial was completed on the riverbank above the church. It includes a theater, a museum, and a library that contains valuable books and manuscripts having to do with Shakespeare and his life. The theater burned in 1926, but people immediately donated funds to rebuild it. The new theater, designed by Elisabeth Scott, opened in 1932. It is called the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The Royal Shakespeare Company performs Shakespeare's plays there. This permanent company includes many of the United Kingdom's finest actors, actresses, and directors. A Shakespeare Center was opened in 1964 to house the Shakespeare collections and provide a meeting place for scholars." (Peter)

Paraphrase:

The library's and museums containing shakespeare's life are interesting because it shows the past of how he was hard working. Its pretty much like a reward to him for all his theater and etc work.

My Ideas:

This quote explains how his home town had many issues by its self but still they were all generate by donating to the funds needed to rebuild things. Shows that they care about where they live, and dont make it trashy.

Quote:

"Sometimes playwrights influence the shape and form of a theater, but more often existing theater seems to influence the shape and form of plays.. Shakespeare's theater influenced how he wrote his plays. Shakespeare took the theater of his time, and he used it brilliantly." (Anderson, 778)

Paraphrase:

The way Shakespeare introduces theater itself isn't exactly how many play writers show shape and form in their theater, Which makes his form of theater special and more interesting.

My Ideas:

This quote means Shakespeare had his own way to introduce his own for m of theater compared to other play writers.

Quote:

"Like Shakespeare's stage, this kind of thrust stage, with its minimal scenery, allows playwrights (if they want) to move their stories rapidly from place to place." (Anderson, 780)

Paraphrase:

Shakespeare's stage is the kind of stage that brings a ton of energy and ideas with common sense.

My Ideas:

This quote explains hows Shakespeare's ideas spread like a wild fire and thrust on the stage.
