Most people died from diseases as from battle wounds, the result in considerable measure of poor sanitation in an era that created mass armies that did not yet understand the transmission of infectious diseases like typhoid, typhus, and dysentery.

Where the soldiers set shot.

They did not die equally, there were deaths throughout all the years of the war

1,264,000 soldiers died
YES, There was even Civil War Torture
2% of the population died
The most caused disease in the Civil War!!

This was called Dysentery

Soldiers died everywhere
Non-soldiers died too!!!:((
