Festival of the Arts

The Festival of the Arts will be held in downtown Inverness on Saturday-- November 3rd and Sunday—November 4th.

There will be Professional Arts and Crafts on displays for purchase. Typically the professional artists works include Drawings, Paintings, Sculptures, mixed media, glass works, and Jewelry. The professional Crafts section can include quilting, metal garden sculptures, plant hangers and wood crafts.

Each year the Citrus County Art teachers also create displays of Student Art pieces completed in our classrooms. Citrus Springs Middle School will have a display of about 50-60 student products from all Art classes. There will be various drawings, paintings, Collage and Montage pieces from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. The Tents will be divided by levels with Elementary and Middle in one tent and High School Art in another.

Please come out and enjoy some fresh air and Culture. See the many creative ideas and products for sale and on display.

Chess Club

Those who have signed permission slips will meet every first and third Mondays from 2:30-3:30 in the Media Center. Permission slips are available in media. See Deputy Hunter with questions.

S.T.E.A.M. Club

S.T.E.A.M. Club (Science Technology Engineering Art & Math) runs every Tuesday in room Ms. Markey's room from 2:30-4:00. See your science teacher for a permission slip.

Title 1 Parent Communication

In accordance with the Title I regulations, a copy of the School-Wide Title I Parent Involvement Plan and the School Improvement Plan are available for review in the school office or on our school website via the link below. If you wish to request information concerning the professional qualifications of any of your child’s instructors, you may do so in writing to the principal.

Title 1, Part A (Title 1) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Renaissance and all elementary and middle schools in Citrus County are Title 1 schools. YMCA After-School Program

The Citrus County YMCA will be running the After School Program at Citrus Springs Middle School. Cost is $35 per week and financial assistance is available to those who qualify. This program is held on site between the hours of 2:30pm and 6:00pm. Staff will assist the students with homework, engage them in teambuilding projects and will also focus on character development. A.V.I.D.

AVID is a college and career readiness program-Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID Dress up days are held on the second Tuesday of each month.

F.C.A

FCA-Fellowship of Christian Athletes-ALL are welcome! Meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of the month @7:30 AM in the gym.

S.W.A.T.

SWAT will meet every second Thursday of the month before school (7:20 am) and during A lunch .
