Where I'm From Adap froM the pOem from george ella lyon

I am from iron skillets, from Crisco and Walnut Creek.

I am from rolling hills and pasture fields, corn, tobacco and cattle.

I am from the pine tree, the sweet smell and sticky touch of the wood.

I am from all things music, and red hair, from Willis and Tammy and Charlotte.

I am from farming and loving thy neighbor,

from "turn the other cheek" and "please and thank you."

I am from vacation bible school, and from fading followings.

I am from Ashland and from Ireland, from sweet potatoes and green beans.
