1st Annual Water is Life Expo Presented by Standing Rock Committee, Hip Hop 4 Flint, + The Hip Hop Caucus - March 25-26, 2017 - Flint, Michigan

Standing Rock

Standing Rock, Hip Hop 4 Flint, and The Hip Hop Caucus join forces to present the 1st Annual Water is Life Expo in Flint, Michigan on March 25 & 26, 2017. The recent executive action decision of President Trump to move forward on the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline and The Keystone XL Oil Pipeline and the recent halt on the $100 million dollars in federal funds to replace the contaminated lead water pipes in Flint is putting America in a state of emergency. The Dakota Access Pipeline will be built along the Missouri River endangering the water supplies of Iowa, Illinois, North and South Dakota, and Missouri and the 200 rivers attached to it. The Keystone XL pipeline is planned to be built along the Mississippi River affecting America's major water source. Across America with cities like Newark, New Jersey, Baltimore, Maryland, and countless other cities are fighting elevated levels of lead in their waters with very little media and community attention. The Water is Life Expo will unite and give a platform to help provide solutions for all of these issues.

Flint, Michigan
