Linda McCartney was born in New York City on September 24th, 1941. Sadly, in 1995 she was diagnosed with breast cancer which shortened her life in 1998 when she was 56 years of age.
Linda's style of photography was 60's musicians, mostly rock stars and bands.
Linda’s spontaneity and lack of pretension easily produced some of the finest celebrity photos of our time.
Linda did not work for anyone in particular except most of her work was posted on industry music magazines on famous musicians.
Linda used Pentax Spotmatics or some other kind of 35mm Pentax equipment for her work.
On one occasion, when the magazine received an invitation to photograph the Rolling Stones during a record promotion party on a yacht, she immediately volunteered to represent the publication as its photographer. The photo shoot marked a turning point in her life.
Linda has taken countless musicians pictures that eventually went on covers of either magazines or albums. In 1969 she married Paul McCartney which is one of the famous members of The Beatles.
Linda was an animal activist, photographer, musician, and all that time was a mother. She fought what she thought was right and was became the first woman to have a photograph featured on the front cover.
