9,717 incoming Anteaters along with their families and friends tuned in live to attend UCI's first-ever virtual New Student Convocation, kicking off the academic year with a hearty "Zot! Zot! Zot!"

ZotAbility Ally Workshops

This fall, Disability Services Center hosted three remote 90-minute ZotAbility Ally workshops for faculty, staff, TAs and students.

These interactive workshops challenge personal biases, provide awareness and promote diversity, with first-hand experiences from UCI students.

1,664 UCI students turned out to vote on campus!

Student Affairs staff participated in the inaugural Common Read initiative with How to Be An Antiracist by historian Ibram X. Kendi, discussing the book in small groups.

The final event, Common Read Conversation, closed out the initiative with a large group discussion, breakout conversations and poignant reflections by participants.

The Veteran Services Center honored all who served, hosting their annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 10.

Anteater alum Major General Laura L. Yeager, Commander, 40th Infantry Division, and the first woman to command a U.S. Army infantry division was the keynote speaker.
