Cancun A Great Getaway

Cancun, a city in Mexico bordering the Caribbean Sea, is known for it's beaches, numerous hotels, and amazing activities.

Climate

Moving on, Cancun has a Semi tropical climate which means it's hot and humid all years round. Cancun has an average of 240 days of sunshine a year which makes the ocean temperature 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year.

Beaches

Cancun has 14 miles of long white sand beaches and all of the beaches are public. The white sand you see, is made from crushed coral and isn't to hot to touch. Also, most of the beaches are professionally maintained. Since there is so much available space, the beaches in Cancun are seldom crowded.

Under The Sea

Cave Crossing

Cancun also has the second largest coral reef in the world called the Great Mayan Barrier Reef. You can take advantage of this by going scuba diving or snorkeling during your stay. Furthermore, there is something called the Cave Crossing which is offered to all tourists staying in Cancun. The Cave Crossing is an underwater cave where you can see the crystal waters and multicolored fish.

Underwater Museum

Aside from the Cave Crossing, there is an underwater museum. This museum is home to over 470 submerged sculptures. It's located besides the Manchones reef area which is between the Coast of Cancun and Isla Mujeres. Tour guides take you snorkeling down to see the museum. It's a unique way to draw people in to coming to see what it's all about.

Here are just some of the many underwater sculptures in the Underwater Museum.

Outdoor Fun

The El Rey Ruins

The El Rey Ruins is all that is left of what was once the Ancient Mayan City. This is a 47 stone structure with stairs that allow you to climb to the highest point on the structure. In addition, some of the stone walls are engraved with Ancient paintings. The El Rey Ruins is known as the heart of Cancun.

Cancun is a special place to have fun with your family.

Cancun overall has so much to do and can be such an experience. Come and enjoy those white sand beaches and nice hot weather.
