Kyrie Irving BY: ZACHARY JOHNSON

Kyrie Andrew Irving (born March 23, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Irving was born in Melbourne, Australia, but grew up in West Orange, New Jersey. He played college basketball for Duke University before being selected with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cavaliers. Irving has achieved a number of accolades, including the 2011–12 NBA Rookie of the Year, 2014 NBA All-Star Game MVP, and an NBA championship in 2016.[1] He has also played for the United States national team, with whom he has won gold at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics which means Kyrie Irving is a very athletic "all-around" player.

Irving played for Montclair Kimberley Academy his freshman and sophomore years in high school. He averaged 26.5 points, 10.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 steals and became only the school's 2nd 1,000 point scorer. In his sophomore year, he led MKA to its first New Jersey Prep 'B' state title.

People have argued who is better Stephen Curry or Kyrie Irving? Well based on stats Stephen Curry is better than Kyrie because Stephen has played two more seasons then him. However the Cleveland Cavaliers have won against the Golden State Warriors in 2016 which this makes people wonder if Kyrie "is taking over".
