“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” ― Ansel Adams

When i was given the project on street photography the first thing that came on my mind was taking unposed photographs(candid) of people on the street, food and other street activities. Street photography which could be any public space, such as a mall, beach, park, swimming pool, or a street corner.

This project helped me observe things, everyday activities that happen around us but we tend to ignore them. It helped me look at different beautiful things present, to know the people who's home are these streets, to know there is something different in every street which makes it different from other streets and is named differently.

Nariman point has a own story to tell. From once being the 5th most expensive place to have an office in to being a place full of life and everyday activities.

When i went out, it was not just the end of marine drive but it was more. One can easily observe the queens necklace from that end, enjoy the breeze and look at the development at behind, get inspired by looking at the Oberoi hotel Trident and wishing to stay there once to enjoy the view from the room.

Walking on this street you reach at a corner where you will find a small different world created. Every evening there is a carnival put on the street for the kids, which has different kinds of swings and activities for the kids and the people who make it fun have a different story to tell.

Happiness in the Pan, from the person who serves you with a smile and the happiness you get after eating. From the hard working worker who works everyday for making something new for the people. To people finding happiness in whatever work they do. Un counted people who come to marine drive to enjoy the peace and mesmerise about life while looking at the water and listen to the sea shore.

Every picture has it's own story to tell, while it just doesn't have one but many stories to tell in a single picture.

We would never find dull moments on the city streets. One must observe and appreciate about people and things around them. Appreciate about life and find happiness in small things. We have so much to learn from a street that we could never learn from the text books.
