In addition to studying for her MA in Publishing Culture from City University London, Bree Weber began her publishing career at the prestigious London publishing houses of Penguin Random House and Macmillan, before joining Madison Avenue literary agency Trident Media Group. She has helped over 1,000 books make the journey from manuscript to bookshelf, including New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors Justin Cronin, Lisa Scottoline, J.T. Ellison, Catherine Coulter, and Sylvia Day.
Since striking out on her own, Bree's continued to collaborate with traditional publishers including St. Martin’s Press, Ballantine Books, and Simon & Schuster, while working with independent authors to provide publishing and marketing support.
Bree brings her industry knowledge and publishing experience to The Book Octopus, which seeks to partner with talented authors to share meaningful work with their intended audience. She is searching for the kind of books that keep us up reading well past our bedtimes, because that's exactly how she fell in love with books in the first place.
Consideration of new works by The Book Octopus will be limited, with submissions accepted during a brief period once per year. Bree will be carefully choosing quality books for publication, and is excited to bring these new titles to book lovers everywhere.
