County Highway 6 (Stillwater Boulevard) October 9, 2018 Construction Update

Project Schedule

Last Week (October 1)

  • Paving the first two lifts of blacktop was completed and the roadway was opened to two-way traffic.
  • Four short storm sewer structures, that intake storm water, were replaced.
  • Crews started placing and grading gravel in preparation of pouring the sidewalk and concrete driveway aprons.
  • Crews started work on restoring the disturbed soils on the north side of the roadway.

This Week (October 8)

  • Crews plan to finish placing and grading gravel in preparation of pouring the sidewalk and concrete driveway aprons.
  • Crews also plan to finish restoring the disturbed soils on the north side of the roadway.

Next Week (October 15)

  • Crews will pour the concrete sidewalk and concrete driveway aprons.
  • Crews will restore disturbed soils on the south side of the roadway.

Future Work

  • Once the sidewalk and concrete driveway aprons are poured, and disturbed soils are restored, crews will pave the final lift of blacktop, install permanent signs and pavement markings, as well as install new swing-away mailbox posts.
