Year 7 have been learning about geographical fieldwork, and have been putting their skills to the test. Working with the enquiry question ' Where is the best place for a bench?' we practiced field sketching to draw the locations in the playground that we thought might be suitable for spending an afternoon in the sun! We orientated our sketches using a compass and used a tape measure to show scale. We hope to test some more locations by using weather recording equipment to measure the impacts of micro-climates around the school.
