Analysis #1

I chose these pictures to show European imperialism in Africa because of political imperialism. In the first picture it shows a cake with the name "Afrique", as they show it, other wise known as Africa being cut up into pieces showing power and control. In the second picture it shows the effects of political imperialism in Africa by showing the continent of Africa and surrounding Africa are grim reapers with all the causes such as poverty, famine, disease, etc...

Analysis #2

I chose these pictures to show European imperialism in Africa because of idealogical imperialism. The second photo for the motives shows a white man carrying a gorilla representing the Africans. I think this shows idealogical imperialism because this shows "The White Man's Burden". The second photo for my effects shows an African being held down by white men. This shows how after the Africans were deemed "uncivilized" they were being forced to change their ways to follow the right way to be civilized people.
