Rigoberta Mencha Ryan Williams

Born on January 9th 1959 and is still living today she was a activist and a politician. Her family to the persecution of Guatemalans military. Her father was a leader of a peasant organization. The brother was also kidnapped and tortured and was killed by a death squad.

She created the Indian-led movement and joined the international efforts to stop thew brutal campaigns and have the peasants become skilled public speakers.
