Soccer History

A fact is that Japan a long time ago they wooden poles, and not metal poles like today. Soccer started in the 1800's! Soccer made it to the U.S.A in 1869. Then, soccer became really popular in Europe. In Japan a long time ago they had leather soccer balls. Over 240 million people play soccer. That is why soccer is the most popular game in the country.

In soccer you have to try to score a goal in the net. You also have to stop the other team from scoring. There are 11 players on the field at one time. You CANNOT tackle or push if you do not you will get a penalty. Only if you are the goalie you can use your hands. If you are a player you can only use your feet. Winner is the team with the most points.
