On the far side of the park Either side of The "ring road" (A6120)

When the weather brightened (briefly) after a week of grey, dull skies I took the opportunity to get out to find some of the wild, monstrous trees that I love so much.

I might have taken a picture of this little corner anyway, but what made we stop was the tiny wren I spotted. With no zoom, the photo below was the best I could do. Why bother? Well, I had fun getting it home and zooming in when I got it open in Lightroom. [As with all photogrids in these Spark pages, just click on the first image to enlarge and scroll through.]

THIS is the kind of tree I was thinking of.

The wall in the photo below is the same one in the photo above. Adel Lane stretches away up the hill. The green fence keeps strangers off the sports ground, one of many owned by the University of Leeds.
