14th Sunday After Pentecost September 6th, 2020

These are the lessons of the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost. This Sunday's readings magnify the marriage of the Law and the Gospel; God's holiness and mercy; what the Lord commands of us and how He fulfills it. This theme is reflected in all four lessons by the divine harmony of God's Word throughout all time.

May we be drawn ever closer to the truth that sets us free, which is revealed to us by our loving Father in His scriptures.

A Reading from the Old TEstament

A Reading from the Psalms

A Prayer

God our Father, you are the power of liberation, calling your servant Moses to lead your people into freedom, and giving him the wisdom to proclaim your holy law. Christ Jesus, be our Passover and bind the power of sin that remains within us. Be the light that leads us to your perfect rule of love, that we may be faithful citizens of your holy kingdom. We ask it your name, O Lord of our salvation. Amen.
