February’s race weekend was unforgettable! Club Spring Mountain was graced with beautiful blue skies and weather in the high 60s, perfect conditions for racing on the Mansell (B) 3.5-mile course. We had a fantastic turnout this month – 20 Prototype drivers on track for both days of competition, along with 10 Sports Car drivers on Friday and 13 on Saturday.

The enthusiasm on track was at an all-time high and there was plenty of action all weekend! Members fought tough battles in competition while testing out the newly “RAP” repaved track around the Carousel. Intensity grew with multiple spin-offs, dropped wheels, and back-and-forth passes between the racers. Lap after lap, it was hard to peel our eyes away from all the exhilaration.

The streak of track records being broken continued this month with drivers in both Prototype and Sports Car divisions setting the bar high. In his first wheel-to-wheel race with us, Bob Hooey set the record in the GT2 class with his Lotus sportscar. We were also pleased to welcome back Keith Gostlin (P2 class) to the racetrack after being away for a few years. Good to have you back Keith!

It was an exciting weekend and we are grateful to have support from our sponsors who help make this series a success.
