Calm Before The Storm My Week in Sports - Week of September 4, 2017

It was a short week due to Labor Day but it wasn't short in activities. On deck for the week was both JV and Varsity Softball, JV Football and Cross Country.

First up, was JV Softball taking on Woodland on September 5, 2017.

It started off as a beautiful day but a storm was quickly approaching which eventually called the game giving it to Woodland and canceled Varsity Softball's game against South Cobb.

Up next for my camera lens was Thursday Night Lights. JV Football took on Sequoyah at home while Freshman got on the road.

On September 8, 2017, Varsity Softball met up with Creekview for the second time this season.

Capturing Cross Country moments mean getting up at the crack of dawn.

But you can't help but love views like this...

September 9, 2017 was the Cobb County Championships with JV running first followed by Varsity capping off the day.

Congratulations goes to Allatoona Senior, Adrian Hernandez! First ever Allatoona Cross Country runner to win the Cobb County Cross Country Championships!

Although my lens is usually pointed towards Allatoona, I always keep my eye out for moments that make you pause.

During the JV Girls' race, I noticed two young ladies from Osborne High School approaching the finish line.

What stood out is that they were holding onto each other and pushing one another to the finish line.

With Hurricane Irma approaching, this week's schedule could change but on deck for the week of September 11, 2017 is Softball, JV Football and Friday Night Lights at South Cobb High School.

Until then...

Every game is everything.
