The Buc Nation in Full Swing My Week in Sports - Week of October 16, 2017

The week of October 16th was an exciting one! I was fortunate to be able to capture Allatoona Fast Pitch Softball, Freshman Football, Varsity Football, Varsity Competition Cheer and Cross Country. It makes me tired just typing it up.

It all started on Wednesday, October 18th. Allatoona Fast Pitch Softball competed in the GHSA second round playoffs against Dunwoody HS. Allatoona had home field advantage and it was a best of three series.

Allatoona won both games Thursday night and have now moved on to the Elite Eight in Columbus, GA where they will once again take on Creekview High School. Best of luck to these ladies as they take the road to State!

Right around the corner, Allatoona Freshman Football was playing Harrison High School. Although they weren't on my schedule, I can't pass up the chance to snap a few more sports pictures.

Friday Night Lights took me on the road to Sequoyah High School in Canton, GA. This was a big game for Allatoona football as both were 3-1 in region 6-AAAAAA. With playoffs around the corner, getting a checkmark in the "W" column is one step closer to home field advantage.

Final Score:

Sequoyah 7

Allatoona 10

Typically, Friday Night Lights cap off my week in sports but not this time. Allatoona Varsity Competition Cheer had a competition at Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Allatoona Varsity Competition Cheer came in first place in 6A classification. From there, I ran to catch Allatoona Cross Country in the Region Championships. Luckily, I didn't have to run too far and although I missed capturing JV Girls, I was able to catch JV Boys and both Varsity Girls and Boys.

By the end of the day, I was toast but it was all worth it. For the week of October 23rd, it will be a much quieter week. The only Allatoona sports on my schedule is the last regular season home football game with Allatoona playing River Ridge on Friday, October 27th.

Until then...

Every game is everything.
