Support your City – work at TfL A new role to tackle work-related violence and aggression

Do you want to become an Operations Officer within a new function of Transport Support & Enforcement for TfL?

At Transport for London, we’re creating an additional 135 roles in our Compliance, Policing and On-street Services (CPOS) Directorate to help us combat the source of work-related violence and aggression across our network.

Successful candidates could be deployed anywhere across the organisation - be it within our bus network, Overground, Trams or on London Underground – and will support colleagues who are dealing with anti-social behaviour – carrying out problem solving and / or enforcing our by-laws.

The role is open to everyone across Transport for London (TfL) and LU.

About the role

We’re looking for candidates who are passionate about helping to make our network a safe environment for all of our users.

So if you think you’re able to be confident, firm and assertive but empathetic and polite when dealing with difficult individuals, this could be for you.

Successful candidates will support our uniformed staff and officers when situations have the potential to escalate, by using their specialist training to help defuse situations and to enforce our byelaws and / or regulations as appropriate.

The Compliance, Policing and On-street Services (CPOS) Directorate delivers integrated pan-TfL enforcement, compliance, policing, security and community safety functions in support of our transport priorities. They provide uniformed services across TfL, be it one of our circa 2,500 police officers or our own uniformed officers, we lead on workplace violence and aggression ensuring a pan modal approach to ensure our network is safe, and to support and look after our people who work in some of the most challenging environments.
