Crohn's disease is a type of inflammatory disease, That may affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. symptoms and signs include diarrhea,abdominal pain, fever and weight loss. others can cause skin rashes , arthritis and feeling tired. People who have this disease are more at risk to have bowel cancer. There is no cure for Crohn's disease but to stop smoking if they do, exersise daily. This disease lasts for years or even longer or lifelong. Up to 20% of people with crohn's disease have a blood relative who has IBD. Affects both women and men. 700,000 people in the U.S. are affected by Crohn's disease. It can occur at anytime but usually starts between ages 15-35. Most people think Crohn's is caused by something you ate in fact its not, researches say it maybe could be involving genetics, the environment, and an overactive immune system.

There is a risk for inheriting Crohn's disease, especially in families of Jewish ancestry. Children who have one parent with Crohn's disease have a 7 to 9 percent chance of developing the condition. They also have a 10 percent chance to develop inflammatory bowel disease.

People still don't know why people get this disease they believe Its handed down from their family, but they don't have enough proof because there are a lot of people who don't have it passed down.
