Academic Advising: approaches and resources

In advance of the start of semester 2 and meetings next term with advisees, Staff learning and Development is running a session on 'Academic Advising: approaches and resources' on 22 January at 13:30-16:00. This will be delivered by a trainer experienced in academically advising students.

The session will be an interactive workshop using online resources and videos to help you build self-confidence and independence in your advisees, help you signpost towards useful resources, and determine boundaries to advising. The workshop will not directly cover advising students on Mental Health issues and Wellbeing, though it will set out approaches to advising that can be applied to Wellbeing.
