Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Beta Kappa chapter

Founded in 1898 and chartered at Coe in 1930, the Beta Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a men's fraternity committed to advancing music in America. All hail!

If you or someone you know is interested in joining the brotherhood of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, please email phimualpha@coe.edu.

Each semester, Sinfonians participate in a Mills Music Mission. It is through song that happiness is delivered to patients in hospitals and nursing homes around Cedar Rapids.

One does not have to be a music major/minor to be in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia - many disciplines are represented within the fraternity such as religion, philosophy, biology, art, business, math, computer science, physics, and history among many others.

The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit, the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students, the advancement of music in America, and a loyalty to the Alma Mater.
Sinfonians participate in a number of activities around campus each year, including singing the national anthem for the annual Drag Show held in the spring.
