Carlos Santana is a musician. Him and his band, The Santana Blues Band, debuted in 1966. After a while the group found other interests and split. The original group was known for energetic performances, emotional depth, mixing elements of different musical styles, and long instrumental improvisations. They were then inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. On his own Carlos Santana made many hit albums including Blues for Salvador (1987), which earned a Grammy in the rock instrumental category. In 1996 billboards gave Santana the Century Award, which was the magazine’s highest honor for lifetime achievement,. Santana also was honored for his humanitarian efforts. The song “Smooth” spent 12 consecutive weeks at the number-one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It had also won a Grammy as the year’s best record. Carlos Santana has won over 10 Grammy awards in his life time.

This is appropriate because he is known for being a musician, and really successful musician also.
