School Funding

Further to previous information, schools are facing average cuts of 8% per pupil by 2020 due to government funding plans. In addition, a new funding formula may result in further cuts. We need our schools to be safe, healthy and happy places for children to learn in but to do this we need the right levels of funding. Please visit the following link to see what you can do to help.

Online Safety

We have recently received some information about advice given to a North East primary school by the police. This relates to a dating app dubbed ‘Tinder for Teens’ that could be used by sex offenders to target children. Although the advice given was of a general nature, as no particular incident has been reported, it is a useful reminder for us all to check that our children are safe online. Crazy Hair Day

Yet another huge thank you for all the help and support given by children, parents, staff and everybody else for the efforts at the end of last term to raise money for Esmee. By the end of the day, the total amount was in the region of £1,000.

A special thanks to Faye Jones and friends who made and sold some delicious cakes, raising over £160.

Water Bottles

Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day, particularly now as the weather is getting warmer. To reduce costs and help the environment, we are not able to issue plastic cups.

STAFF NEWS

Well done to Mrs Mears and Miss Hession who both completed the West Lancashire Spring Triathlon during the holidays. They also raised some money for the Little Princess Trust. Well done ladies.
