Annual Report 2017 Liberty Corner presbyterian church

In 2017....

we worshiped...

on Sundays at 9:15, 10:30 and 11 am, but also on retreats, during SHARE, on mission trips, and during Sports Camp. We welcomed 23 new members into the life of the church, celebrated 10 baptisms, heard uplifting messages, sang, prayed, and broke bread together.

Liberty Corner Kids share the story of Christmas. The Easter Choir and string ensemble share their musical gifts. Children gather for a special children's sermon.
Throughout Lent, we shared our prayer concerns on colorful slips of paper. Our prayers, folded into paper doves, transformed the worship spaces on Easter morning.
Worship Team leads contemporary worship at 10:30 am each Sunday.

we journeyed...

through The Story of scripture together. All ages studied the same Bible story each week through age-appropriate lessons and sermons, providing families the opportunity for shared conversation about the stories of faith.

we learned...

Sports campers and volunteers learned to "go the distance" when life gets tough. During the action-packed, Spirit-filled week, 58 campers and 11 student volunteers made a faith commitment.

Students explored what it means to believe, discovered the depths of God's love, discussed how scripture speaks to their everyday lives, and built friendships in the process.

During the Fall Retreats, students worshiped, sang, danced, and talked about God's love for us. There was also plenty of time for fun and games...

Connect Groups discussed how to handle the pressures of life with God's help. Faith Cafe walked through the foundational stories of scripture and the core beliefs of Christianity. Small groups dove into topics like what it means to be a man of faith, how to know God's will, the life of John, and more.

Connect Groups met during Lent to discuss "The Case for Christ" and in the fall to study "Pressure Points".

we served...

as Liberty Corner Kids teachers and shadows and studentLIFE leaders.
