Superintendent's Notes January 11, 2019

This poster of the Sandite Varsity Dance team is hanging up on the door of our conference room at the Administration Building. Thank you to Michelle Spears and the beautiful dance team for putting a smile on my face every time I walk in the door! Your positive spirit is contagious!

The DRAFT calendar for the 2019-20 school year is linked here. Your site administrator will be discussing this with you soon if not already. This will be on the Board of Education agenda for a first read in February and will likely be approved at the March meeting.

I am sharing the link to the bond video with you today. Please know this will NOT be published publicly yet, so please refrain from posting on social media for now. Timing is critical for getting these things out to the public. Once it shows up our our District Facebook page, you are welcome and encouraged to share it on your personal and school pages. I will be visiting each site soon to answer any questions you might have. In the meantime, if you are not registered to vote, please make a commitment to take care of this important responsibility!

I can't help myself but brag a little about our Sandite basketball teams and share a couple of pics! Both the young men and women are having spectacular seasons this year! Both teams defeated Sapulpa Tuesday night in two exciting games. Come out and support our teams if you get a chance! Thanks Coach Savage and Coach Nightingale for encouraging excellence and team above self!
This team of 8th grade Sandites surprised a teacher from Owasso who is struggling through a fight with cancer presenting her a card and a QT gift card last week at their home game. I am more proud of their hearts than their basketball skills. Caring hearts transcend competition and school district boundaries! Great job Sandites!
Our Sandite Varsity wrestlers are 6-0 and touted a great win last night against Union. Thanks Coach Jarrod Patterson for your effort with these young men!

Check out this cool video from Northwoods Fine Arts Academy that Ms. Amanda Webster shared with me this morning! Great job Northwoods instilling our Sandite values in our young students!

This was another great week to be part of this Sandite FAMILY! Thanks for being amazing!! ~Sherry
