As the 2021 season blurs past us and as we only have a few weeks of football remaining, we have a few important announcements for all our members regarding Sponsors, Fundraising, Merchandise and Presentation Day.
In this edition we would like to thank our sponsors, if not for their generous support we are not in the game. We are honoured to carry their names and logos with us each week and we strive to do them proud. Please support our sponsors and on behalf of all our members, THANK YOU!
As you will see in this newsletter our End-of-Season celebrations will be very different this year. It will not be perfect but unfortunately planning large events is nearly impossible in the age of COVID. You will receive more information on your Presentation Day soon and we hope that we can all come back together to celebrate in 2022.
Fundraising has always been crucial in helping to keep our fees low and fund equipment purchases for our players. With the complexity of COVID, the past two seasons has seen the Club’s ability to plan and hold any large fundraising events hampered by changing restrictions. Please get behind this season's fundraising initiative and help make it a success. This is not exclusive to BUFC members so please send it to your family and friends.
The launch of the new BUFC merchandise has been an amazing success, it is fantastic to see so many players and parents in the new club merchandise at the games and around the Valley. Stay tuned for news on new products for the 2022 season.
As everyone will have noticed some work on the new facilities has begun with the removal of some of the landscaped plants. We hope to bring you more detail on the development soon as we are through the final approval process. Hopefully games and training sessions being cancelled due to flooding will soon be a thing of the past!
Cheers, George Triandafyllidis
Sales of our incredible value wine have been going well but we need your help to make this fundraiser a sell-out success!
COVID-19 has severely impeded BUFC's ability to plan much needed fundraising events. Additionally, the fit out of the new development looming on the horizon, increasing costs, and a determination to keep our fees as low as possible, means support from our BUFC Community of this Wine Fundraiser is more important than ever! If you haven't already done so, please get you friends and family to order a bottle of this unique offering; a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Grenache and Shiraz from Rojomoma's single vineyard in Ebenezer.
As many of you will know, a ‘top bin’ goal is highly celebrated requiring great skill as it is scored by kicking the ball into either of the top corners of the net. Similarly, this wine has been skillfully blended by Rojomoma to ensure all the goals of great winemaking are exceeded.
There’s so much going on with this complex wine! The 2019 vintage was tiny, yet these Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Grenache and Shiraz grapes were intensely flavoured. Blackberry, black current, dark cocoa, violet, herbs, and plum is just the start of the flavour spectrum in this wine. The mouth-watering savoury elements are typical of the unique personality of Rojomoma’s single vineyard in Ebenezer, Barossa Valley. It has a great structure with full but smooth tannins. Enjoy now or cellar for more than 10 years.
Exceptional value at $25 per bottle or $132 for a 6 pack carton.
All orders will be handed out at Presentation Day, but delivery outside of the Barossa can also be arranged. Please fill in the digital pdf form (link below) and email to Bernie; firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any queries, please contact Bernadette Kaeding, telephone 0421 272 336.
Order your 'Top Bin Blend' now!
This fundraiser has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the following local businesses, and thanks to the hard work of our fundraising committee:
TEAM photos - Save the date
Team photos will be taken either Wednesday 25th August or Thursday 26th August depending on your team. Photos will be available for purchase if you wish but everyone needs to attend for a photo with your team in your full home kit (BUFC navy top, BUFC shorts, navy with green stripped socks). More information will be provided very soon.
Due to the complexity of trying to organise events in a pandemic, the committee has decided to provide funding to each team so organise their own small end of year events. This ensures that any postponements and adjustments can be more easily managed on a smaller scale, but also ensure each celebration is carried out in way that is fitting for the team's age group. These events will incorporate handing out club awards and trophies. Your team manager / coaches will communicate with you soon around what is being organised for your team so stay tuned!
