How To Make The Best Holiday Dessert By Maddie DeCarlo

Nutrition teacher Debbie Andry prepared chocolate lasagna with her class. Follow the steps shown in this photo essay to make it at home.

Chocolate lasagna consists of layers, in order as the following: crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter crust, cream cheese and Cool Whip, chocolate pudding, Cool Whip and crushed Oreo cookies on top.

First , wash your hands and use paper towels to dry.
To start the process, get all of the needed ingredients ready to use.

Start by crushing up the Oreo cookies for the crust and topping.

Remember to set aside some crushed Oreo Cookies for the topping.
Melt the 6 Tablespoons of butter and mix it with the crushed Oreo cookies for the crust. Spoon into a 9 by 13 pan and press down to form a thin even layer. Place the Crust in the freezer for about 10 minutes while you work on the next layer.

Whip the cream cheese using a stand mixer or hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add the 1/4 cup of sugar and 2 Tablespoons of cold milk and mix until well combined. Finally, stir in 1 and 1/4 cup Cool Whip.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust in an even layer.

Mix two packages of chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 Cups of cold milk until the pudding starts to thicken. Use a Spatula to spread this mixture over the other two layers, turning the pan as needed. Allow to rest for 5 minutes so the pudding can firm up further.

Sprinkle the crushed Oreo Cookies that you set aside earlier over the top.
