immigration By damaris itzep

Immigration is the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.People are being affected because some are getting deported and some are getting judged by their ways, many people are scared and don't feel comfortable in there home.I'm being affected by this issue because my parents are immigrants and don't have papers,my siblings and i are scared that they might get sent back,it makes me worried and sad for all those poor kids without parents are sent back and leaving their family and friends behind. Our community is affected because a lot of us who work and care for this community are immigrants, many people don't want them to go because they are a lot of help, and many people feel very insecure about other people.

The first significant federal legislation restricting immigration was the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act.New laws in 1965 ended the quota system that favored European immigrants, and today, the majority of the country’s immigrants hail from Asia and Latin America. A lack of freedom that immigrants had is getting a good paying job and getting the rights as white people, why well because they were a different color, some dark color people had to be slaves and get punished just because they were different.Immigrants are still the same because they come from different places and people judged them for who they are and their culture. Some of this problems are not here anymore because people like Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther king, and Abraham Lincoln changed the world and added laws to help different color people like immigrants be equal and have the same rights.

50 years from now immigrants will not be an issue because immigrants will fight back and show the world about how important they are. Immigrants will show the Americans that without them they are nothing and all the companies will go out of business because not a lot people will buy stuff, or eat fast food. These groups of people will be able to have have the same rights as everyone, they will have medicaid, able to get driver's licenses, and able to get good paying jobs and still go to school even if they are not residents of the us.

One vital person is Cesar Chavez ,Cesar Chavez was the one who stood up so immigrants get more money and he told them that if they don't get enough money then they won't work until they gave them more money because they work really hard, and don't get enough to feed there family or pay the land they borrowed. This made the bosses mad but the immigrants did what they were told to have the same rights as other people.

What i can do even as a young student is try to help them solve the problem,by telling our president and showing them that without us the U.S will not run as well as they did with us immigrants. Even if i have to take a risk i will protest with them and fight for the rights of those who are not residents of the U.S, why? Because everyone is human we came from the same place and nothing not even where we were born will change what we call human race.
