St. Charles Borromeo BY Michael

St. Charles Borromeo was a saint who was born during the time period of the reformation and helped the church with the council of Trent using his intellectuale gift. Charles had encouraged the pope to renew the Council in 1562 after it had been suspended for 10 years. He kept it together when it was on the verge of breaking off. He dedicated himself to keeping the Council of Trent alive. He kept Catholisism in the Council and was an exampel for other Catholics.

St Charles

The church was making people pay money to be forgiven from God. Bishops were getting rich of off these payments and focused on money, not on helping the catholic comunity. Tons of new religions were fromed because of the churches mistake. So this started the church reformation. The catholic church was then forced to clean up their act.
