America in the 1800's by armando parra-arias

What did it mean to be an american in the 1800s, being american felt different because they were just becoming their own country and they were getting their own styles of things such as music , art and literature. you had to fight for got harder for them to get more goods and things from other countries because of wars, one of the wars they had to deal with was the war of 1812.

Being an artist in the 1800s was having to do lots of work.there was different kind art work like drawing portraits and women sewed spare bit on cloth into quilts, men carved weather vanes and hunting decoys.not all artist were professionals.the ordinary people produced many kinds of folk art and the untrained created sign, murals and images of national symbols like the flag.

Until the 1800 music in the united states were performing and they heard it mostly in churches.the song they would sing at churches would usually old tunes with new lyrics. The white composter from the south ,they were in inspired by the music of the African American , they created a type of music known by mimicking songs. The American music for "The Star -Spangled Banner" for instance, came from the english tune. In the south the African American slaves combined the hymns of write churchgoers with the African musical styles to create spirituals, they would also entertained themselves and sometimes slaves owners-with folk songs accompanied by violins, drums, and a banjo(an African American invention)

Being an early american literature was working with poetry and the theater. there were lots of people as literature and one of the most famous was Washington Irving he would drew on German folklore for his colorful tales of "Rip Van Winkle" and on "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".David Crockett was a real-life frontiersman who spun tall tales about his life as a hunter, scout, soldier, and an a explorer.Crockett's autobiography, which was full of his plans backwoods speech. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was one of the first serious poets, he wrote america's first epic poem. The Song of Hiawatha, based on stories of american Indian.

Politics in the early 1800s was very common. A man named Henry Clay of kentucky wanted to run for president but he was not elected. He believe that the national government had a role to play in encouraging economics growth. He supported an economic plan called the American System.

the people that didn't like to call it the era of good feeling because they didn't like they stuff were doing with their country and it wasn't probably helping them. Some people probably didn't like when they made the rising out of the Federalist v. Anti-Federalist debates, it featured two national parties competing for control of the presidency, Congress, and the states: the Federalist Party, created largely by Alexander Hamilton, and the rival Democratic-Republican Party formed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The Federalists were dominant until 1800, and the Republicans were dominant after 1800.

MY conclusion is going to be talking about what it meant be an american during the era of good feeling and i thinK it felt like they had lots of things to do and hard work and also because they just had become their own country so it was harder for them.I think some jobs were easy because they be some jobs were they just painted pictures and but i think that being a politic and literature was harder to be because you need to know lots of things.
