Remember that we will be administering Math Assessments this week. Please note that the first graders have an updated assessment with enlarged numbers.
Don't forget that bicycles will be given away to the two students who have demonstrated the biggest improvement on the math assessments throughout the course of the entire school year. We will wait until the final math assessment is completed at the end of April before making this determination.
If you haven't already, make sure you sign up for the Volunteer Breakfast on Saturday, April 29, at Shallowford Presbyterian Church. Also, anyone can nominate a volunteer from their location for Volunteer of the Year. These wonderful people will be recognized at the breakfast.

And April 10-16 is National Volunteer Week, when organizations across the country will recognize their volunteers for helping them achieve their mission. We already know that we couldn't do what we do without YOU!

Study Skill:
proofread your writing aloud
How to incorporate the study skill: Proofread your writing aloud by reading to the wall and making corrections with a colored pen. It can help you catch things that you have written that do not sound good aloud. You can check spelling in the dictionary. you should also have a buddy or person who is older than you are check your writing for errors.
