Obergefell V Hodges Vanessa, Manny, Caiden, ty

Two side- One side agreed that the people should have the right to marry the same sex as themselves because humans are just humans. The other side thought that people of the same sex should not be able to get married because it didn't seem right.

The supreme courts decision was that they are able to marry a person the same gender as themselves. The decision was made June 26, 2015.

How did it affect the laws of the country? The rule before was you couldn't be married to a person the same gender as you. Now the law allows anyone to get married to anyone.

How did it affect our country? Some people agreed with it and some people didn't like the law. Some people hated seeing two people of the same gender married. Like for example the Orlando shooting. But most of the people agree with the law. I agree that all people should have equality and should be able to marry anyone.
