Rene Descartes

Rene Descartes was born in Indre-et-Lorie, France on March 31, 1596. His parents are Jeanne Bochard and Joachim Descartes. He has 4 siblings, 2 half and 2 full. His sisters are Jeanne and Anne Descartes, and his brothers are Pierre and Joachim Descartes.

Descartes is a 17th century philosopher, mathematician and writer. He started at Jesuit College at the age of 8 and graduated with law at the age of 22, but he wanted to apply math and logic to understand the natural world. He then attended the University of Poitier and Leiden University. He is known to the world as the father of Modern Philosophy. He was influenced by the world's two greatest philosophers Plato and Aristotle.

Descartes is famous for connecting algebra and geometry. Not only did he connect those things, but he also connected the mind and body. His theorem is now called the mind-body dualism.

Descartes has lots of famous quotes and sayings but this is his most famous one. " I am, therefore I think". Throughout his life of ups and downs, he didn't only influence me but also many others.

Rene Descartes had Pneumonia and died on February 11, 1650 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was an inspiration to many.
