Could you start making money from your photos? by Joseph Hobbs

Fair trade image licensing agency, Picfair, has launched a Young Photographer Network for 18 - 25 year olds, showcasing the work of emerging photographers across the globe.

Open to anyone, from talented instagrammers to budding professionals, the best images are being showcased to Picfair’s global network of image buyers as part of a drive to help the next generation of photographers start making money from their work.

In an industry that encourages up and coming photographers to give away their work for free for “exposure”, Picfair believes that all photographers should be paid fairly, and is working hard to make that happen. Anyone can upload their images to Picfair and set their own prices.

Picfair’s amateur photographers have had their work featured in some amazing places, like Trevor Mills, whose image was purchased for a National Geographic front cover:

“I was out shopping when I got the email saying my photo was on the front cover and I could not believe it. It was an amazing feeling. I bought two copies: one to read, and one to frame”

The Picfair Young Photographer Network will feature senior figures from the world of commercial photography as judges for competitions, and the best photography will feature in frequent Picfair image collections.
