Joseph Stalin

Joseph Stalin was born on December 18, 1879, in the Russian peasant village of Gori, Georgia. He was actually not born in Russia, he was born in the old USSR. Joseph's mother wanted him to become a priest. He got into a church school. He did well in that school. He got a scholarship to Tiflis Theological Seminary. When he was a kid, the children in his village teased and bullied him a lot. So, he set out on a quest to get respect in life. Someway, somehow.

Joseph Stalin ruled the Soviet Union for more than two decades, instituting a reign of terror while modernizing Russia and helping to defeat Nazism.
