Bart Starr By Brett deroo

If you are a football fan you might know Bart Starr. He wasn't that famous in his childhood but as he went on in his football years he got famous. He got drafted in 1956 and retired in 1983.

Childhood

He was born January 9th 1934 in Montgomery Alabama. He is still alive. He is 83 years old. He had a younger brother unfortunately he died because he stepped on a dog bone when Bart was a kid. His parents where Benjamin and lula Starr.

Bart's house

Football player

He played for the Green Bay packers. He was number 15. He played Quarterback. Bart attended Sidney Lanier High School then he tried out for his football team but after two weeks he decided to quit. But then his dad told him Bart had a choice to work in his family garden or play football so he went back to the field

Career

He got drafted into the NFL in 1956 17th pick. He got drafted into the packers hall of fame in 1977. He led the packers to the first two Super Bowls. Bart played for the Green Bay packers in the NFL from 1956 through 1971. He retired in 1983

Bart is still alive and cheering for Green Bay. He won awards and was a pretty good player. He will be remembemred as one of the best QB's.
