Walter Diemer Emma collins
Walter attended a local high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Walter did not have an education after high school. He then took a job at Fleer Corporation as a cost accountant.
The Fleer Corporation, a manufacturer of saltwater taffy and many other candies and the nations largest producer of chewing gum, had been try to find a formula for gum that could enable you to blow the perfect bubble. Walter enjoyed tinkering with different formulas in the laboratory next to his office. He worked during lunch breaks or after hours and eventually found the perfect formula by accident.
Walter started the dubble bubble gum and put the gum in many candy stores. In the first year his gum brought $1.5 million dollars to the Fleer Corporation.
