The design of the butterfly exhibit was particularly appealing to me. Enclosed in a screened dome was a rainforest where butterflies roamed about. The beautiful colors of the different kinds of butterflies captured my attention. I learned that butterflies can form a sort of colony just as humans do if you observe them in a natural habitat. I really enjoyed this exhibit at the museum because of its beauty.
Renewable energy in Florida is a perfect example of loving, respecting, and admiring the land in the way Leopold recommends. I felt a sense of love the world I live in and obtained a greater sense of appreciation for nature. My friends and I were excited as we explored each new exhibit. The open exhibits, such as the butterfly exhibit, allowed visitors to be close with nature.
Nature and the Human Spirit
This exhibit explained what happened to the Calusa tribe of southern Florida that disintegrated by the mid-1700s. This exhibit helped me step out of my ordinary life to explore the past. By looking at the past one gets a better image of the present and helps us understand the mystery's of the past.
