daystar university Staff Alumni Breakfast Recognizing, Staff Alumni Chapter

Daystar University Staff alumni convened for a breakfast meeting organized by convener, Dr. Dorothy Kagwaini and Daystar University Alumni Association (DUAA). Staff from different departments were represented and it was a time to share memorable moments and to bond. The breakfast took place on Monday 23, July 2019.

Dr. Kagwaini while addressing the staff alumni encouraged them to embrace the 3 Core Values of Daystar University; Excellence, Transformation and Servant Leadership. She urged the staff alumni to steer the transformation needed and serve with utmost commitment.

Addressing the staff alumni, Phyllis Mutua, Finance Manager, explains why they should embrace the culture of giving.

Rose Mwaura, affirms that the Staff Alumni Chapter is indeed timely and encouraged the staff to support DUAA and become strong ambassadors of the Alumni Association. She also recognized that the Staff Alumni Chapter is unique and encouraged staff who are not alumni to start their chapter too.

Prof. Ayiro, calling on the staff alumni to become the destiny architects of their Alma mater.

In his address, the VC called on the staff alumni to stay committed to the 3 pillars of Servant Leadership: Awareness, Availability and Acceptance. He further urged them to help him carry the vision of Daystar University by becoming the shinning eyes of Daystar. "Listen, be flexible and then change to create a spirit filled and motivating environment" reiterated Prof. Ayiro. He also encouraged the staff to lift their passion for Daystar University and lead by making others powerful.
