A.L.I.C.E. Parent Meetings

The Troy School District is implementing the A.L.I.C.E. protocol during the 2018-19 school year. A.L.I.C.E. takes a more proactive approach in the event of a serious emergency/crisis. These protocols will eventually replace "Code Red" lockdown drills that have been conducted for many years. All district employees have started training and this training will continue during the school year.

We will also conduct informational parent meetings, which will be held at all four middle schools. The information below includes dates, times and locations for the A.L.I.C.E parent meetings. You can attend the session that is most convenient for your schedule.

Thursday, October 4th at 7:00pm – Smith Middle School

Tuesday, October 9th at 7:00pm – Boulan Park Middle School

Wednesday, October 10th at 7:00pm – Baker Middle School

Thursday, October 11th at 7:00pm – Larson Middle School

8th Grade Washington D.C. Parent Meeting

Attention all students traveling to Washington DC next month: there is a meeting for students and parents on Tuesday, October 9 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. We will be addressing the itinerary, bus and roommate assignments, and what to bring. Please be sure to make arrangements to attend. Contact Mrs. Lee with any questions jlee@troy.k12.mi.us

Reproductive Health Parent Preview (7th Grade Parents)

The annual parent preview for the material used in our Reproductive Health unit in 7th grade Health classes will be held in the Larson Media Center at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2. Please note that this is the only time scheduled for this event --you should plan on attending if your child has Health during the first or second semester and you are interested in previewing these materials.

6th Grade Cleveland Trip Meeting

Monday, September 24th at 6:00 pm - Larson Collaboration Studio

6th grade parents are invited to attend an informational meeting in regards to the Sixth Grade Field Trip to Cleveland. The trip is on Saturday May 4th. Students and parent chaperones will visit the Malley’s Chocolate Factory, Great Lakes Science Center, and the beautiful Cleveland Zoo. This year we will be having lunch at the zoo. Registration is online through Big Country Tours. Registration details can be found on the Larson Website under “Activities.” Parent chaperones are needed and should register with Big Country Tours if interested. 7th Grade Chicago Trip Meeting

Monday, September 24th at exactly 6:30 pm in the Larson Collaboration Studio

Seventh grade parents are invited to attend an information meeting about the Seventh grade Chicago Trip. On Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th students and chaperones will explore this exciting city! The adventure includes the Adler Planetarium, Shedds Aquarium, Union Pier, a Medieval Times Dinner Theater, The Museum of Science and Industry and Gino’s Pizza. Registration is online through Big Country Tours. Registration details can be found on the Larson Website under “Activities.” Parent chaperones are needed and should register with Big Country Tours if interested. 2018-19 Yearbooks

Purchase your 2018-2019 Larson Yearbook NOW Please visit Pay Schools –> Larson-> LMS yearbook and purchase your child’s yearbook now. If you have multiple children at Larson, please purchase one under each student’s name as we distribute them to individual students in June. While we have some extra yearbooks available for purchase in June, there is no way for us to guarantee your child a yearbook unless you purchase it in the fall. The cost is $20 until December 1st. It's time to renew or adjust your rewards program! The Larson PTO raises significant funds every year through your normal purchases at Kroger, Amazon, and more!
