ETD @ UTA electronic theses & dissertations

after defense

  • UTA Libraries staff no longer do mechanical checks. Contact your committee chair or department staff for proper formatting.
  • The thesis or dissertation you submit must be the final version.
  • ETDs (electronic theses and dissertations) must be submitted electronically to Vireo.
  • Everyone submitting an ETD must turn in a signed Intellectual Property Statement.
  • If you are submitting a dissertation, you must take the Survey of Earned Doctorates and send in the certificate of completion.
  • Email forms or questions to thesisdissertation@uta.edu

embargo - a delayed release or temporary access restriction

Add an embargo if your ETD is to be published or a patent filed. Embargoes are added when you submit your ETD to Vireo. You can add a one- or two-year embargo. If you publish in ProQuest, you need to add an embargo for both ResearchCommons and ProQuest.

ETDs are submitted to the UTA ResearchCommons and will be searchable through internet search engines. If you chose to have your ETD in ProQuest, it will be available in the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global database.

Yay!! You're almost done. You can once again join the human race. :)
