MLBPA Tony Clark Going Home 2016 All-Star Edition baseball ProCamp July 9, 2016 - San Diego, CA

On July 9th, 2016, in conjunction with All-Star festivities, MLBPA and Tony Clark held a Baseball ProCamp for 300 area youth comprised of organizations Tony played in growing up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Major League Baseball Payers Association and Tony coming home to San Diego, CA.

Former MLB Talent

Over 175 combined years of MLB experience was showcased at camp.

Tony Clark, Bobby Bonilla, Jose Cruz Jr., Mark Loretta, Dave Winfield, Rob Picciolo, Heath Bell, Jefferey Hammonds, Kevin Slowey, Sergio Mitre, Steve Rogers, and Omar Minaya.

Camper Experience


Campers had the opportunity to partake in pre-camp activities that included the Home Run Derby, Most-Accurate Pitch, and Homr-to-First Race.

Home Run Derby - Campers attempted to hit as many home runs as possible in 10 pitches. Winners were announced at the end of camp.

Most Accurate Pitch - Campers got to throw three pitches in an attempt to get three strikes. Campers with 3 strike in three pitches were announced at the end of camp.

Home-To-First Race - In a head to head battle, campers started at Home Base and sprinted to first base. The camper with the fastest time was announced at the end of camp.


Campers experienced various stations specializing in fundamental baseball skills and participates in games and contests through the instruction of Tony Clark, former MLB players and our coaches.

In addition to baseball instruction and official camp gear, each camper went home with a team photo, a signed baseball by Tony Clark, 2 complimentary tickets to the All-Star-Game Fan Fest, and a Bat Bag courtesy of Dick's Sporting goods, Topps Trading Cards and a New Era Hat.
