Shalita o'Neale nonprofitista Non-Profit Development Coach | Child welfare expert| Speaker | Trainer

My Story

Shalita “The Nonprofitista” O’Neale is a highly trusted and nationally recognized professional both inside and outside of nonprofit and child welfare circles. She launched her first nonprofit organization geared towards supporting young adults from foster care when she was just 25 years old and raised over 2 million dollars for its work in under 8 years.Shalita decided to become a Nonprofit Development Coach as a way to use her 13 years of experience in launching, building and sustaining non-profit organizations and non-profit programs to help other Non-profit Visionaries do the same.

In addition to her 19 years of (kinship an formal foster care) experience in the foster care system, Shalita had dedicated over 15 years of her professional career working with and advocating for youth and alumni of the foster care system.

Shalita has spoken nationally and internationally at numerous seminars, conferences and workshops and takes every opportunity to emphasize the importance of community collaborations and partnerships. Shalita does not believe in reinventing the wheel, instead, she understands that community organizations and non-profits must learn from and support each other to improve outcomes for the under-resourced populations they serve.
