Who am I?

I'm no one special really, just someone who is passionate about the pixels he pushes and the experiences he crafts. I am a leader in the UX/UI community and an Instructor of UX Design at General Assembly in Atlanta, Georgia. I stand by User Centered Design and hold principles close to the hilt. I never compromise function for form and vice versa. If design and experience don't work in tandem, absolutely nothing has been accomplished.

I have a reputation for walking into a meeting with a cloud of facts floating above my head and can defend any design decision made with a downpour of facts from that cloud. All of my designs are based on user focused principles and I never repeat my patterns through an evolutionary process, that'd be a colossal waste of time, don't you think? In a nutshell, I'm passionate, opinionated, and completely dedicated to users.

AskMD (Sharecare)

Design Contributor & Lead Design Director
Above are some samples of Sharecare Inc.'s AskMD mobile and wearable application that focuses on connecting user with soft diagnoses, medical history and professional medical assistance. I helped to craft the UX based upon an acquired product called PKM prior to it's revised release to the Apple App Store and Google Play Market.

Sharecare 3.0 Mobile App

Above are some samples of Sharecare Inc.'s 3.0 mobile authenticated social wellness platform. I worked in tandem with product managers on both sides of the pond to craft a style guide that could be easily translated into two completely unique experiences.

Perficient 2014 - 2015

Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN

Above are samples of BCBSMN's complete customer portal experience. This ground up UX and UI overall was a 9 month process that meant rethinking how users interact with their insurance policies and health information. I, naturally, was part of an amazing team that helped to craft this award winning design experience, but was the sole creator of most of the UX, often working in tandem with Visual to deliver upon short deadlines and present to 40+ stakeholders at any given time.

Yamaha Marine

Above are samples of Yamaha Marine's Propeller Selector Tool. Yamaha approached my team with the need for a tool that could both be showcased on a consumer level and a B2B level. They had a strict plan and wires that followed much of what similar tools had already published. I was able to convince Yamaha to take a more gamified approach. This led to crafting a experience and tool that made selecting the right propeller effortless and intuitive. This design is award winning and has since been copied by many of Yamaha's competitors. Above are many samples of ClickDimensions flagship product Automational. This product is a massive automated email marketing software program. This features data representation, social interactions, and automated form building.
