2018 Gala Middle School

Middle School headed down to the Orley Farm Aquatic Centre to test nerves and bodies! Joking aside, water will test young people and whilst the confident swimmers make it look easy, there is a rite of passage here, so congratulations to everyone in Middle School for giving your all, taking risks and developing resilience!

As the races unfolded it quickly became apparent that Hopkins had strength and depth here and coming off the back of winning Sports Day, one has to wonder whether there is a secret 'before/after' school club that is getting this House in shape...that or they are eating their greens!

A huge 'thank you' to Miss Hehir for organising this event. This week is packed with top sporting events that aim to showcase just how committed our pupils are to their full and rounded studies both in and out of the classroom. Orley Farm is very lucky to have such energetic teachers who model healthy living in every sense, so thank you to everyone involved in this event.

Parents were giving their all to will their children and their Houses to the final touch, passions were running high but what a wonderful setting for children to immerse themselves in the moment. Thank you mums and dads for all of your cheering and support, you're amazing! Can I just add, make the most of it, there will come a sad day when your children start to suggest that you stay at work!!!

Miss Young was our principle guest today, presenting our cups to worthy winners. As you will be aware, Miss Young is moving to Unicorn School to lead Games and I would like to thank her for all that she has done to inspire our young athletes to always give their best!

Very proud winners of the individual cups...well done for living out 'Ambition' and 'Do your best to be your best' from our thinking skills and values...
